Lydia
Lydia has a passion for understanding people and a curiosity about life. Helping others to feel safe, heard, and cared for are some of her strengths. She is good at working through complicated issues and seeing hopeful possibilities. She enjoys working with both children and adults in individual therapy.
Education & Skill Set
Lydia is a Licenced Mental Health Counselor in Washington State. Her primary areas of practice are trauma therapy, grief and loss, all forms of abuse, behavioral and emotional issues of children and adolescents, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders, attachment issues, career counseling, and other interpersonal/relational issues.
Lydia graduated from Washington State University in 2012 with a BA in Psychology, then went on to graduate from Liberty University in 2016 with an MA in Professional Counseling. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology through Walden University, in order to go from being a mental health counselor to being a clinical psychologist. Her passions in the field are individual psychotherapy, assessment, research, and teaching. She has a particular interest in the area of complex trauma.
Lydia holds certifications in EMDR, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, TF-CBT, DBT, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. She also has training in play therapy, art therapy, and narrative therapy. She uses evidence-based treatments tailored to individual client needs.
She treats a diverse client population of children and adults while upholding respect and dignity for culture, intersectionalities, and the values of the client. Lydia believes in empowering clients, listening to their needs, validating their experiences, and supporting them toward their own goals.
Experience
Lydia completed her practicum at Grace Clinic in Kennewick, WA working with diverse adult clients who were without insurance and living under the poverty line. She completed her internship at Lutheran Community Services in Kennewick, WA working with at-risk children and teens ages 6 - 17 with complicated needs and dual diagnosis. Lydia has also been an advocate for survivors of sexual exploitation for over a decade and continues to work with national and international organizations on programs that benefit survivors and deter perpetrators. Lydia launched her own private practice, Looking Glass Psychological Services, in 2019.
Lydia has also worked as a consultant for over a decade on issues related to child sexual exploitation (CSE). She has done work as a survivor advocate, researcher, public speaker, and trainer for this population over the years. She has experience consulting for organizations such as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, various law enforcement and government groups, as well as technology companies such as Microsoft on how to better respond to and care for survivors of CSE.

Dr. Ramanjot Basanti
Dr. Ramanjot Basanti, "Raman" is a licensed mental health counselor in WA state. She has been a mental health counselor for almost ten years. Raman is in the process of completing her doctoral clinical psychology internship. She has experience working with a diverse population in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Raman has extensive experience in providing trauma-focused therapeutic interventions, individual and family therapy, conducting groups, and psychological evaluations. Part of her experience includes working with neurodivergent clients. She has worked with this population for two years and is finishing her doctoral internship in a program focused on autism evaluation and treatment. She has completed diagnostic assessments for adults and children who are autistic and has worked with several therapy clients with this diagnosis. Raman uses an affirming approach and continues to pursue training and knowledge in the neurodiversity community.
Raman also has experience working with survivors of childhood sexual trauma, victims of CSAM and human trafficking. She is trained in EMDR, IFS, TF-CBT, DBT, and ACT and her work includes a focus on generational trauma and generational healing in marginalized communities. She has experience providing assessment and therapy in English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
